Abraham Quintanilla has filed a lawsuit against a fan site dedicated to his daughter, late Tejano singer Selena.

The fan site, Selfanaticos Online, is a website dedicated to all things related to the singer. The site features images, videos, information about the popular singer and event information.

Jean Christian Moya, who runs the website, has, according to Variety Latino, stated that Quintanilla has threatened to take him to court.

"He [Quintanilla] sent me some documents threatening me for violating his artistic property by using Selena's image," Moya said.

Quintanilla claims that the site posted altered songs and, due to that, copyright laws were violated. The songs have been removed from the site, but Moya reportedly also uploaded several videos of the late singer's concerts. The videos are property of Q Productions, a company owned and started by the Quintanilla family.

"I'm sorry for saying this but it is the fans that put food on the table for this man," Moya added. "It's ridiculous that now he thinks that we are obsessed with her."

Regardless of the claims against the website, Quintanilla's children -- Suzette and Abraham Quintanilla Jr. --have been known to share images and information from Moya's website on their social media pages.

The late star Selena was killed in 1995, at the age of 23, by fan club president Yolanda Saldívar. Since her death, fans have kept her memory alive by continuing to purchase her music and other musical artists still perform it.

More recently, singer Selena Gomez, named after the Tejano star, recorded her own version of "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" in honor of the the late singer in her "For You" album.

Jennifer Lopez, who rose to fame playing Selena in the famous film of the same name, participated in a tribute performance in honor of the singer that featured the Quintanilla family and the late singer's widower, Chris Peréz, at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards
