Double amputee Olympic sprinter and South African hero Oscar Pistorius is currently awaiting his June 4 trial date where he will face premeditated murder charges in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp. He does not appear to be too worried.

Pistorius was seen at a Johannesburg pub over the weekend, drinking freely and allegedly flirting with several women. It did not take long for the other patrons to notice him.

"He was greeting a couple and then gave the woman a little pat on her backside. It was just so inappropriate," said one woman.

Another woman reported: "He was drinking shooters and he was flirtatious. He didn't seem like someone [who had] lost the love of his life."

Pistorius was forced to leave the pub soon after, as public attention had become too much. The venue's manager noted that the room went silent when people realized who he was, and the mood never recovered from there.

Originally, Pistorius was not allowed to imbibe any alcohol and had tight travel restrictions. He challenged those restrictions in March and was granted more leniency.

Steenkamp was supposedly planning a Valentine's Day surprise when she was shot by Pistorius after she had entered his home. The couple had been dating for two months at that time, and many believe that her death was nothing more than a tragic accident.
Others contend that the killing was anything but an accident. They say that Pistorius had plenty of time to recognize who he was shooting at, and at the very least, had been horribly careless. His recent behavior certainly does not appear to be congruent with a man who has recently shot and killed his girlfriend by mistake.

"He's the last person we expected to see. I can't believe he showed his face in public, carrying on as if nothing's happened," said another patron of the pub.
