Nick Jonas broke his silence about his recent breakup with model Olivia Culpo during an interview with E! News on Thursday.

"I wish the best for her in the future and we had a great two years," the "Jealous" singer said.

When asked if there is anyone he'd like to date, Jonas admitted that he's in no rush to jump into another relationship.

"I don't know, it's too early. I'm focused on my work and that, to me, is the priority right now," the "Chains" crooner said.

The 22-year-old has a lot on his plate. He is preparing to go on tour, and star in Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens." His "Kingdom" TV series is also being picked up again.

Health is another priority. Jonas has Type 1 Diabetes and is using a continuous glucose monitor to control it.

"I made a commitment to myself when I was first diagnosed that I wouldn't let it slow me down," he said. "It's been about just managing it every day and finding tools that make it easier."

It has been speculated that the singer's busy schedule had something to do with the couple's decision to split. While the couple made the decision to break up sound mutual in the press, Culpo's recent social media posts tell a different story.

On June 19, the 23-year-old Miss Universe 2012 winner posted an Instagram picture of a sunset and expressed her heartache.

"Your heart just breaks, that's all. Heartbreak is hard but you find more and more things to be grateful for every day. One of those things is all of you. Thank you all. Yes I'm going to be okay and I love u guys so so much every day is a blessing," she said.

The model took to Twitter on Thursday to express her continued sadness.

"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other," she wrote.

The couple started dating after meeting backstage at the 2013 Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas. They dated for two years.
