New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has made his fashion debut with the new Fall/Winter 2015 collection for luxury French brand Givenchy.

According to People StyleWatch, the campaign, which also features designer Donatella Versace, was shot in black and white by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. One of the campaign images released features Cruz in a striped suit in one image, while another shows the football player in a black suit while holding one of Givenchy's bags for men.

The 28-year-old football player, who is Puerto Rican and black, posted both of the photos from the campaign on his Instagram account and thanked the brand's creative director, Ricardo Tisci, for the honor.

"Words can't even describe how excited, humbled, proud and happy I am right now. Being the face of @Givenchyofficial is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life off the field," Cruz said on Instagram. "I want to personally thank my very good friend @riccardotisci17 for choosing me. I wish nothing but continued success and blessings towards the future. Can't wait for the show on Friday!"

Tisci, who called Cruz "a gentleman with the looks of a bad boy," has always been a favorite of the football star when it comes to fashion.

In 2014, Cruz mentioned his admiration for the designer in an interview with Mr. Porter.

"My dream would be to collaborate with Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, and make leather hat cases for travel," he said at the time.

Cruz's interest in fashion isn't new. The football star created his own clothing line with a former teammate, Nate Collins, and has appeared at various runway shows throughout the year.
