Disney is bringing its characters and brands to iOS devices.

The company is now offering a customized keyboard that will allow users to send over 200 different GIF images by text, e-mail and social media, Tech Crunch reports.

These GIFs will feature moving pictures with Disney and Pixar characters. Disney joins other developers who have created customized keyboards. Most keyboards allowed for users to type faster with predictive text or finger swipes and were created when iOS 8 was first released. Another popular keyboard app variety was one that allowed users to send GIFs through text messages. Apps like Riffsy, Blippy, PopKey or Kanvas all allowed users to copy and paste GIFs into Apple's messaging app and then send them via text.

These other GIF keyboard apps offer a greater variety of moving images, but Disney fans will appreciate Disney Gif's gallery of images. Parents will also be pleased that all of the images are appropriate for all ages.

All images from the Disney Gif app come from Disney movies like "Frozen" or "Star Wars" and ABC shows like "Once Upon a Time" and "Scandal." The images from "Scandal" have been wisely selected to ensure they are appropriate for all audiences.

Currently, there are about 200 GIFs available across the Disney Gif gallery, but more are to come.

"Star Wars" offers the largest collection of GIF images at launch. Disney wants to add more GIFs to stay competitive with other free GIF apps already available.

The app will let users search for GIFs by Disney movie or show, by what's trending and even offers some paid "Frozen" content that can be purchased inside the app for $0.99. Disney will probably add more paid premium content GIFs to the app soon.

Disney decided to create the Disney Gif app due to the recent success of Disney emojis. The "Star Wars" emojis were so popular that they generated over 1 billion impressions on Twitter the first two weeks they were available. Disney hopes that sharing GIFs on social media will help get it more exposure online.

Disney Gif can only be installed on iOS devices for now, but an Android app could come in the future.

According to MacRumors, Disney Gif can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
