American Idol 2014 Judges, Winners, and Auditions: Check Out Tonight's Atlanta and Detroit Audition Previews [WATCH]
The auditions for American Idol season 13 continue tonight when the panelist trio stop in Detroit and Atlanta (tomorrow). Watch the sneak peek clips of this week's episodes below.
More twins are trying out for the Detroit audition, in addition to last week's Selena and Sierra -- one advanced and the other did not. Rakita and Karlita belt out "Listen" from Dreamgirls, however it sounds like neither of them will be getting a golden ticket to Hollywood.
The judges clearly have fun with his last name -- Brian Watt performs Carrie Underwood's "So Small." Jennifer Lopez is speechless, being impressed with his singing talent.
The final teaser from Detroit features Marrialle Sellars' audition. The contestant was actually featured at the start of the premiere, even though it was not from the audition cities in the episode. After being complimented on her Rihanna-Miley Cyrus-esque look, Sellars sings Bruno Mars' "Grenade," playing her guitar.
Moving onto Thursday's auditions in Atlanta -- Chris Medina brings in both his guitar and dog. Harry Connick Jr. comments, "just don't bring him around Ryan [Seacrest's] toiletry bag, could be a little bit of a scene," and the crew laughs hysterically in the background. After his performance of Adele's "Chasing Pavements," Connick Jr. says with the dog on his lap, "Do you know that song, 'I Have a Small Plastic Bag and a Towelette?"
Jessica Meuse from Slapout, Atlanta -- the panelists have fun that as well. She performs an original song, "Blue Eyed Lies," and Connick Jr. makes a comparison to Stevie Nicks.
Lastly, General Larry Platt and his hilarious song "Pants on the Ground" return to the TV screen. The song was released as a digital single and surprisingly made it to #46 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Watch American Idol on Wednesday and Thursday at 8/7c on FOX.
