Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Premiere: How Will Jax React to Tara's Murder?
Jax Teller is headed into Season 7 of Sons of Anarchy full of rage. His wife Tara Knowles-Teller was just brutally murdered by none other than his sociopathic mother Gemma Teller-Morrow. Yet, Jax doesn't know that his mother betrayed him yet and took away the only person he truly loved. Season 7 is the final season of "Sons of Anarchy" and it's set to be an explosive goodbye.
What could possibly go down in Season 7? It's highly likely that Jax will find himself handcuffed and jailed for his wife's death. District Attorney Tyne Patterson, played by veteran actor CCH Pounder, will want to lay it on Will and make sure he stays locked up for life. It seems unlikely that Jax would be held for long lest the show become a courtroom drama. The real question that fans want answered is whether or not Jax will find out that his mother was the killer.
Maggie Siff, who played Tara, recalled parting with her character to Vulture.
"That was actually the hardest part of filming that episode. That was the saddest part of it, I think. The process of letting go has been kind of a weird gradual one in my own mind," Siff said.
"But when we were filming that scene, I felt a real sadness for the characters and for the life of the character who lives on. And Charlie was so ... it was just so full," Siff added.
TVLine sat down with series creator Kurt Sutter. Sutter mentioned that he knew that Siff's character wouldn't have a happy ending.
"I didn't quite know exactly, obviously, how it was going to happen in terms of story. I just knew in terms of a mythology mile marker that that's when it was going to happen," Sutter noted.
Per The Examiner, the seventh season may pick up either a few works after the season 6 finale or backtrack and begin before Tara's murder.
According to WTFSUTTER, Season 7 of Sons of Anarchy will start filming in late May in preparation for a Fall 2014 release.
