The hit show "iZombie" will make its Season 2 premiere on Oct. 6.

The hit show, based on the comic book series with same title published by DC Comics, will also introduce new characters. The series centers on the life of Liv Moore (Rose McIver), a successful medical student-turned-zombie who had to survive her new condition by consuming the brains of murder victims. Liv gets her food at her new job in the morgue.

The Christian Today reported this season will introduce Liv's father whom she will meet for the first time in the show. International Business Times reported Ravi (Rahul Kohli), Liv's boss at the morgue, might be able to make a zombie cure during this coming season.

Showrunner Rob Thomas revealed that Liv is going to see her friends and loved ones fall away from her as Season 2 begins. After her roommate Peyton (Aly Michalka) ran off and Major (Robert Buckley) became cross with her for turning him into a zombie, she might further distance her brother and mother for refusing a potential zombie contaminated transfusion.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Thomas said, "Everyone who was in that intervention scene in the pilot -- Peyton, her mom, her brother and Major -- everyone who was trying to pull her out of her doldrum at the beginning of season one, she will be estranged from as we begin Season 2."

Thomas also revealed more secrets about the upcoming season, especially with the relationship between Blaine and Liv. He said, "It's not as though they're going to become buddies, but they will need to work together to survive."

"iZombie" premieres Tuesday, Oct. 6 on the CW.
