The OnePlus Two smartphone is slowing revealing details about its features ahead of its July 27 release date. OnePlus is confirming that a fingerprint sensor will appear in the OnePlus Two.

OnePlus has already confirmed that a USB-C port would be coming to the OnePlus Two and now they are announcing that the fingerprint sensor included on their next smartphone will be faster than Apple's TouchID, The Next Web reports.

OnePlus says that the fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus Two is "done right. It's refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID."

The fingerprint sensor could be a very important feature on the OnePlus Two. OnePlus is hinting that the sensor will be central in a user's experience with the phone, instead of just an added feature.

Android recently launched Android Pay and, according to Tech Radar, the sensor in the OnePlus Two will be supported for use with Android Pay.

OnePlus says that the fingerprint sensor will be able to unlock the OnePlus Two "twice as fast as any iPhone." Additionally, up to five fingerprint profiles can be stored in the device.

The OnePlus Two will utilize the Snapdragon 810 processor. This is the same octa-core processor found in the LG G Flex 2, the Sony Xperia Z3+ and the HTC One M9.

The OnePlus Two will look pretty similar to the OnePlus One. Leaked photos show the two devices side-by-side and they look pretty similar.

The OnePlus Two will likely have a 5.5 Quad-HD display, 4 GB of RAM, a 3,300 mAh battery and a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera.

Just like the OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two will have a similar invite-only purchasing process when it debuts. After some time later, it will be released to the general public for purchase. The cost of the OnePlus Two might start off at $400, instead of the $299 price that the OnePlus One started at. With the fingerprint sensor and the possibility of a more premium build, the price will likely be driven up.
