1D members are joining Big Bird and the rest of the gang on Sesame Street for the show's 45th anniversary celebration, reports Community Voices.

Other celebrities are also showing up on the show's up-coming season for 2014-2015 including Tina Fey, Janelle Monae and Macklemore, adds Community Voices. 

The show's Youtube account posted a 30-second teaser for fans of Sesame Street and for Directioners who don't mind seeing their favorite 1D members star in a kid's show.

"There are twenty-six letters in the alphabet, but the one nearest and dearest to One Direction's heart is U. U must feel so special!" the video description read.

True enough, the boy band is seen performing a reinvention of 'What Makes You Beautiful.' The 1D boys appear to be getting jolly with a rather straight-faced but still lucky, purple letter U and later on joined in by a serving of udon in a red cup in the video teaser.

Some fans on Youtube found the 'What Makes U Beautiful' song funny - with lyrics supposedly educational for kids while one found the newly-made-up song rather "stupid."

MyLifeAsLisaa commented, "U starts ah,and I gon up,u start öh den de sum in this cup. DID I GET IT RIGHT?? Cause I have no idea what hes saying??" She later on commented, "this is stupid this is gonna make kids stupid lol cause it doesnt even make sense :D"

For those who are still at a loss with One Direction's 'What Makes U Beautiful' lyrics, here is a good guess:

"This letter's U

You know it's true

It starts some words; there are more than a few

U starts 'ugh' and I go 'up'

U starts 'udon,' there's some in this cup

26 letters are in the alphabet but we're here to sing about U."
