Selena Gomez Interview: Talks Katy Perry, Zedd Romance Rumors and Reveals Calvin Harris' Real Name
Contrary to popular belief, there is no "Bad Blood" between Katy Perry and Selena Gomez.
The singer revealed, in an interview, the status of her friendship with Perry, addressed the Zedd dating rumors and revealed what she calls Calvin Harris.
After calling in to New Zealand's radio show "The Edge Afternoon" on June 30, the star played a game called "Tabloid True or False" and was asked to clear up several rumors -- one of those rumors being the current standing of her friendship with singer Katy Perry.
Gomez, who is close friends with Taylor Swift, recently appeared in Swift's "Bad Blood" video impersonating, what many fans believe is, Perry, reports E! Online.
Gomez was asked if she did damage control by calling Perry up after the video premiered and the star denied those claims.
"That's false, I love Katy. I just talked to her," Gomez said. "She's amazing. But I didn't talk about that, but i just talked to her. She's awesome."
The song, which the "1989" singer revealed is not about a guy, is believed to be about Swift's feud with Perry. In 2014, Swift told Rolling Stone that a friend of hers had betrayed her on business matters. This lead many to believe it was Perry, who reportedly hired some of Swift's backup dancers while they were still touring with Swift.
Gomez was then asked about comments DJ Diplo made claiming that her collaboration with Zedd and the romance rumors were all marketing moves to sell records and the star was quick to set the record straight, confirming a relationship in the process.
"First off, It's very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn't," Gomez said. "I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice."
Zedd isn't the only DJ that the starlet calls by his first name. Gomez actually revealed that she calls Swift's beau, Calvin Harris, by his first real name, "Adam," leading many to assume Swift probably calls him by the same name instead of his stage name.
"I was like, 'Look, you guys have two names. It really is frustrating. I need to know which name I should call you because I don't know what is what. So I speak with the real names. Adam and Anton," she stated.
