The 2015 NBA Free Agency period has started and here's a quick update on some of the biggest names who became free agents this summer.

LaMarcus Aldridge

LaMarcus Aldridge is arguably the most coveted free agent summer as several teams have already expressed intention to sign the All-Star forward after reports revealed he will likely leave the Portland Trail Blazers.

Aldridge, who averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in Portland last season, met with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, but reports revealed a team up with Kobe Bryant is highly unlikely. The Los Angeles Times reported the Lakers failed to impress Aldridge during the meeting.

Aldridge also had a meeting with the San Antonio Spurs, who are now considered favorites to sign the 29-year-old power forward. The Spurs made key moves before the meeting -- re-signing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green -- and the transactions could become vital factors when Aldridge makes his decision.

The Suns, who acquired Tyson Chandler on Wednesday, are also in the running to sign Aldridge according to NBA insiders Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports and Marc Stein of ESPN.

Kevin Love

Kevin Love opted out of the final year of his contract to become a free agent this summer. But as expected, the All-Star power forward opted to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

ESPN reported that Love, who averaged 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game last season, agreed to a maximum five-year deal worth $110 million.

Love, who missed the majority of the 2015 NBA Playoffs after sustaining a shoulder injury during their first-round series against the Boston Celtics, confirmed the news through The Players Tribune, saying he decided to return to the Cavaliers because he has "unfinished business" in Cleveland.

Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade remains on the free-market as reports revealed the Miami Heat failed to reach a deal with their long-time superstars on Thursday. Yahoo Sports reported that Wade, who averaged 21.5 points on top of 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game last season, wants a maximum contract from the Heat.

Draymond Green

Like Wade, Draymond Green also failed to get what he is asking for from the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. ESPN reported that talks between Green and the Warriors have stalled as the versatile forward remained firm on his demand for a deal near the five-year, $70 million contract signed by Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton.

Green, who averaged 11.7 points and 8.2 rebounds last season, is expected to entertain offers from rival teams, but the Warriors will have the right to match any offer because the 25-year-old is a restricted free agent.

Notable Signings

In other free agency updates, reports confirmed the Atlanta Hawks agreed to a three-year deal worth $59 million with Paul Millsap with a player option in the third year of the deal. However, the Hawks lost top defender DeMarre Carroll, who signed a four-year, $60 million deal with the Toronto Raptors.

Chicago Bulls convinced Jimmy Butler to stay in Windy City as the 25-year-old shooting guard agreed to a five-year deal worth $90 million with a player option in the final year of the contract.
