According to Billboard, Romeo Santos isn't just the current "King of Bachata"; he is also now king of YouTube.

The half-Dominican and half-Puerto Rican singer showed his star power when a YouTube music artist insight report showed that Santos towers over his musical peers, many in mainstream music, when it comes to total views.

Santos has a little over 4 billion total views on YouTube, while worldwide famous artists like Taylor Swift, with 3.7 billion, Beyoncé and Katy Perry, both with over 2 billion, and Shakira, with 1.2 billion, fall behind.

Born and raised in New York, where, according to a Wall Street Journal study, he is considered the most popular artist in more than 50 neighborhoods, the singer began his career as part of successful Bachata duo Aventura, gaining success for his smooth voice and expansion of the genre in the U.S.

Data shows that the countries where most of Santos' views come from are Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Argentina and the U.S. The study was based off of official videos and videos uploaded by fans between September 2014 to June 2015.

Recently, Billboard also reported that Santos' song "Propuesta Indecente" spent 100 weeks on the "Top 100 Latin Songs," with 98 of those weeks in the Top 5 spots.

Santos, who has collaborated with mainstream artists like Usher and Drake, told Billboard in April that a crossover to English music isn't impossible, but it's not his biggest passion.

"I don't have a problem doing one or two songs [in English]," he said. "But I don't feel it. It's not a passion. English is my first language, but musically speaking, I write my music in Spanish. When I go into [the English-language] world now I have to depend on writers and producers. So, in that world, I don't know if I'm capable of functioning and connecting the same way."

The second longest song on the Billboard Latin charts belongs to fellow Bronx-native Prince Royce, who is about to release his first English-language album on July 24.
