Caitlyn Jenner and her son Brody appear to be growing further and further apart in their evolving relationship.

RadarOnline reports Brody has now taken to refuse discussing Caitlyn at all during interview sessions and earlier this week seemed to be simply going through the motions as he hosted a Hollywood promotional party related to appearances he will be making in Las Vegas later this summer.

"Brody just wasn't in the mood to do any press because he knew everyone would only ask about Caitlyn," a source told the website. "He felt that talking about Caitlyn would be a distraction to the event he was hosting, so Brody decided to not do any press."

Later that night, however, several persistent members of the media were able to pin him down and, sure enough, questions about Caitlyn instantly rose to the forefront.

"I've known Bruce for a long time and I didn't really get along with Bruce," Brody told E! News, where he will be starring in his own show later this summer called "Sex With Brody."

"Caitlyn I get along with a little more, because Caitlyn is actually who she really is and she's living her life finally now as the person that she always was," he added. "Caitlyn is a much freer, happier person and I think that's very special, and I think that the most important thing is that people who are in that situation, don't be afraid to be yourself."

In truth, the source told Radar Brody has never been more desperate to distance himself from the "whole Kardashian/Jenner reality show empire."

Later this month, Caitlyn Jenner is slated to be honored with the ESPY Arthur Ashe Courage Award and there have been simmering rumors that Brody may not be on hand to support her given all their ongoing tensions.
