‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Season 3 News: Boss Gives Details About Jake and Amy's Relationship
On Season 3 of the hit Fox comedy series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," the first episode this fall is expected to pick right up where the last episode left off, particularly with the budding relationship between Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero), according to the Entertainment Weekly Spoiler Room with Natalie Abrams.
Executive producer for the show Dan Goor hinted about what to expect out of the possible relationship between the two now that they have kissed and love is in the air.
"It may be a question more of how the relationship starts, or how well it starts or if it's going to start," Goor said.
Although that statement was kind of vague, fans do know that the relationship between Jake and Amy has been spinning its wheels for quite some time now. It was supposed to be a theme that was to be visited all season last year, but it kept getting put off with one trying to outdo the other with other people. But near the end, we could finally see that Melissa held some interest in Jake, which in turn played out in the Season 2 finale, according to CarterMatt.
The only drama so far in the series about this issue was how one was going to express feelings to the other. But the comedy kept on inserting different angles and throwing monkey wrenches into Jake's plan to win her over. He even exposed his jealousy when one of the detectives he admired most admitted to having a thing for Amy.
That, of course, is when Amy finally found out how he really felt, and that led to the revealing finale. This is why the show's third season will pick up right where Season 2 left off and allow fans to immediately see how their relationship starts -- or doesn't.
Fans can go back and catch up on last season before the fall premier on the Fox website.
