Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are rumored to be planning to renew their wedding vows as part of an overall attempt to resuscitate their faltering marriage.

According to the Guardian Liberty Voice, the 57-year-old talk show host and her wife of seven years have drifted apart over time and have recently been dogged by reports of infidelity and rampant drug and alcohol abuse.

"Ellen loves younger women," a source told Guardian Liberty of widespread reports chronicling DeGeneres' alleged infidelity. "It's been a pattern for her: She meets a beautiful young woman, wines and dines them, and sweeps them off their feet."

But now DeGeneres appears to be hoping a vow renewing ceremony will serve as a "fresh start" for both her and her "Scandal" star bride. The Franchise Herald also reports the plan calls for the DeGeneres to spend the next several months by de Rossi's side as the two work to mend their union.

Over the last year, DeGeneres supposedly had also grown "beyond paranoid" that de Rossi might be cheating on her as reports emerged that the former model was regularly seen "flirting with a staff member."

Whatever course they may now elect to embark on, putting the pieces together may not come easy for the high profile couple.

In Touch Weekly reports the two have been "fighting nonstop" since returning from a South African vacation. Soon after returning to the U.S., the two had a huge fight about de Rossi's career.

"Portia told Ellen that once she starts filming 'Scandal' again, she'll be married to her job," a source told In Touch of what led to the most recent dispute.

Apparently, that news came as a complete and bitter shock to the 57-year-old DeGeneres, who has long been rumored to seemingly control her wife's every move.

"They wound up in a big screaming match and didn't speak again for days," the source added. "It doesn't look like they will ever be able to get back on track. Ellen and Portia will soon be living separate lives."
