The WWE 2K16 cover has been revealed, and it has a familiar face.

The Associated Press is reporting that WWE Hall Of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be on the cover of WWE 2K16 and will be a playable character in the game. You can check out the cover below:

The foulmouthed antihero was in the center of the "Attitude Era" in the mid 1990s and had epic matches with The Rock, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. He is best known for his feud with WWE Chairman and owner Vince McMahon. His "Austin 3:16" shirt was one of the biggest selling merchandise in the history of the company.

According to MTV, Austin said is honored to grace the cover of the newest video game.

"First of all I'm very honored to be the cover superstar for WWE 2K16, and being asked got me thinking -- and I guess I kind of started looking back at all the things I managed to accomplish in the business," he said.

"But I think it was testament to a very deep locker room in one the best eras in the business. All these years later, it is very special and I'm very proud and I was very happy to get the phone call to be the cover star of such a highly regarded video games franchise," he added.

In addition to him being on the cover, Austin is involved in the creative direction of the game. When asked about whether he would return to the ring for one more match, he stated, "So I would go on record: Don't look forward to me putting on the trunks and knee braces to get back in the ring and stomp a mudhole in somebody and walking it dry. How's that work for you?"

WWE 2K16 comes out Oct. 27. Check out the reveal trailer here:
