Microsoft has launched a glitch contest via an Xbox One ad which serves as an invite to the "no-purchase-necessary" promotion. The prizes at stake? Xbox console bundles of course, and lots more!

Unfortunately, the viral Microsoft promo is only open to UK residents aged 18 years and over, says gl16790101.com.

The 90-second ad has been viewed more than 6 million times on Xbox' Youtube page alone but it is safe to say that not a lot of people have figured out what was "off" with the ad.

IGN says that the advertisement has been updated to include flashes of binary code. "Once decrypted, these lead to gl16790101.com, which contains a set of rules for the 'Xbox One advertisement Glitch Contest'," continues the IGN report.

The gl16790101.com site lists four other sites which contain more clues in the form of images. The four sites are the following:

Reddit user WhyZen notes that the Xbox One ad is a haven of information. "What is confusing me is that much of it refers to Nero, Rome and sounds as though it's nothing to do with Titanfall," WhyZen adds.

According to gl16790101.com, which Reddit user Cheeserd now identifies as a Titanfall site, a total of 182 physical prizes are at stake for the glitch contest. "There is a maximum of one prize for each consumer journey path per person. There are four prize pools as follows:

- Xbox console bundle. There are two prizes in this pool.

- 1 x Xbox console bundle, 14 x Xbox items.

- Digitally signed artworks (unlimited), 100 x signed comics, 16 x Xbox items

- 48 x game artworks, 10,000 codes for in game extras"

On Twitter, Respawn Entertainment (@Respawn) answered "no hints!" when @APGNation asked "what does this door mean?"

Microsoft's unique campaign for their next gen console or sneakily, Titanfall, started January 23 12:00 GMT and will conclude February 23 23:59 GMT.
