Amazon is turning 20 years old. To celebrate, the e-commerce giant is having a huge sale that they say will be bigger than Black Friday, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

Amazon Prime Day will be held on July 15, and it is designed for members of Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime is a yearly membership that gives users free two-day shipping on most products, free music and videos and much more.

Amazon wants to reward its Prime members with a big sale that the company says will have more and better deals than Black Friday.

Shoppers in the market for a cool new piece of technology at a great price should start preparing now for Amazon Prime Day.

First, to participate in this special sale, shoppers have to be members of Amazon Prime. Prime costs $99 per year. Shoppers can quickly sign up before the sale, but if they are on the fence about paying the $99 membership fee, Amazon is currently offering a free 30-day trial to Amazon Prime. Users in the UK can get a Prime membership for £59 (regularly £79) until Wednesday.

The Prime Day sale will begin at midnight in all time zones. Amazon will offer lightning deals and seven deals of the day items.

Buyers can expect almost everything to be on sale. The Amazon press release mentions electronics, toys, movies, clothing, patio, lawn and garden, sports, outdoor items, and more.

Items that will go on sale should be announced soon to help give the sale some publicity. If it is anything like Black Friday, big screen TVs, video games and toys should all be on sale.

"Prime Day is a one-day-only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better," said Greg Greeley, vice president Amazon Prime, in the statement. "If you're not already a Prime member, you'll want to join so you don't miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world."
