The OnePlus 2 is the upgraded model to the very successful OnePlus One, and it will be announced July 27. A leaked image shows off an extremely thin and all-metal device, according to Tech Radar.

The launch of the OnePlus 2 has been expected for months after many vague teasing messages were released by OnePlus. The delay to announce the OnePlus 2 could be due to some problems with the Snapdragon 810 processor.

Once the OnePlus 2 is officially announced, it is expected to have a higher starting cost than the OnePlus One because it is expected to have much higher specs. The OnePlus One started off with a invitation-only sales system, but finally opened up sales to anyone. The OnePlus 2 will initially offer the same invite-only system when it debuts.

The look and feel of the OnePlus 2 is expected to change. The new device is expected to use an all-metal body and be extremely thin, according to a recent leaked image.

The back of the device will be pretty similar to the OnePlus One, except for a new thin strip below the camera. This thin strip is expected to hold the new fingerprint sensor that the OnePlus 2 will use. According to Android Authority, the fingerprint sensor is said to be faster than Apple's Touch ID.

The screen on the OnePlus 2 will be the same 5.5-inch display, but it will be much sharper. The resolution is expected to be 1440 x 2560, making it Quad-HD. This is a much higher resolution than the 1080p screen offered on the OnePlus One.

The cameras on the OnePlus 2 are expected to be 16 MP on the back and 5 MP on the front.

The battery that the OnePlus 2 will use is expected to be 3,300 mAh in size. That's an increase from the 3,100 mAh battery that the OnePlus One used. With the sharper screen, the battery might not last as long as it did in the OnePlus One.

There were issues with the Snapdragon 810 processor in other devices, but the OnePlus 2 will use version 2.1 of this processor and the bugs should be resolved.

This smartphone is expected to come equipped with 4 GB of RAM, which is impressive for a smartphone.

Another new feature that is confirmed for the OnePlus 2 is a USB-C port. The company says that this will increase the speed of charging.
