"Mortal Kombat X" for Android devices is getting some new updates.

The update will feature new character variants, new challenges and other added changes, according to Android Authority.

Jax, Mileena and Liu Kang will all get new character variants. Jax will be updated to the variant called Heavy Weapons Jax. Mileena will be updated to Piercing Mileena. Liu Kang's variant will be called Flaming Fist Liu Kang.

The new update to the mobile version of "Mortal Kombat X" does not have Predator like the console and PC versions of the game, but it does also add some "Revenant" characters.

Players can purchase a Revenant Pack for 850 Souls. Buying this pack includes three gold cards: Revenant Sub-Zero, Revenant Jax and Quan-Chi.

Besides the Revenant Packs that can be purchased through Netherrealm Packs, "Mortal Kombat X" also offers a new Equipment pack. Players will need 70,000 gold to purchase the new Equipment pack that comes with this update. The Equipment pack will give players access to three random Equipment cards and the opportunity to get the rare Wrath Hammer card inside one of these Equipment packs.

The update to the mobile version of the game also comes with a new challenge and a new field of Towers to work through, according to Droid Games.

Players on the last generation consoles of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will have to continue waiting before they can play "Mortal Kombat X" on their consoles, Yibada reports. It was initially thought that the game would appear on the last generation consoles in July or August, but there has been no update on a release date from the game's developers. The game should make its way to these consoles by this fall, likely after the Kombat Pack 2 DLC.

"Mortal Kombat" has been consistently adding extra characters to the console version through DLC packs. Already added to the game have been Jason Voorhees and Predator.
