"Fargo" was quite a hit for fans last season on the cable network FX. Now that the season has wrapped, next season will be taking on a prequel-style theme, with earlier versions of Season 1 characters played by different actors, as reported by Variety.

Now that the trailer has officially dropped for Season 2, it is certainly looking to be a thrilling installment by the series' creators, the Coen Brothers.

One particular recast for Season 2 is the character of Lou Solverson, which has been recast from the original Keith Carradine and is now being played by Patrick Wilson ("The Conjuring").

The setting will be in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1979. It will also take place in Luverne, Minnesota and follows the investigation of local mob activity in the area at the time.

Solverson is additionally tasked with protecting Ronald Reagan, who will be making a campaign stop in the area before going on to become the 40th U.S. president.

Young Solverson was seen in the trailer experiencing regret that society has been experiencing a moral breakdown, which was skillfully supplemented by scenes that depicted violence, such as shootings, beatings and even a funny shout out to the current events surrounding singer Ariana Grande and eating donuts.

The cast has been completely recommissioned and now features Ted Danson ("Cheers") and Jean Smart, with recurring roles played by stars Jeffrey Donovan, Bruce Campbell, Nick Offerman, Brad Garrett, Keir O'Donnell, Kieran Culkin, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Hogan, Cristin Milioti and Adam Arkin.

Executive producers for the show are both Joel and Ethan Coen along with Noah Hawley, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron. Hawley has been tasked as showrunner for the season.

The second season of this critically acclaimed series will be premiering on FX this fall in September.
