PS4 vs Xbox One News, Games, and Comparison: Console War Continues With White Xbox One and Additional Country Launches?
Microsoft still has plenty to deliver to Xbox One gamers. The new video game console will see an update this spring, and reports say that the company will also release new editions of the system and launch the Xbox One in additional countries.
An anonymous gamer posted on a NeoGAF forum and announced that the Xbox One will get its first dashboard update in March. The Verge has since confirmed the news.
The update will reportedly fix issues with Xbox One's Xbox Live feature as players have complained about the feature's party chat. In addition, Xbox Live's special features will see better placement, and other system issues will be addressed.
The forum user also reports that Microsoft will release its exclusive white Xbox One to the public.White Xbox Ones already exist, but they were only given to Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business employees, and say "I made this" on the front. The giveaway also came with a one-year subscription to Xbox Live and games.
Five months ago, when asked if regular customers might ever see a white Xbox One, Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb said, "maybe waaaay in the future" via Reddit.
The anonymous source also told gamers to look out for a limited edition Titanfall Xbox One console.
But the anonymous forum user did not stop stirring the virtual pot there.
He or she also claims that Microsoft plans to release an Xbox One without a Blu-Ray disc drive or a Bluetooth adapter. According to The Verge, Microsoft has in fact tested Xbox Ones without the Blu-ray drive.
Finally, the user said that Microsoft has two more Xbox One launches up its sleeve.
The next launch will reportedly see the Xbox One in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden and Taiwan in April.
Then, Microsoft will reportedly launch the system in China, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and United Arab Emirates in October.
