Fans of "The Originals" can expect to see more humans when the series returns to The CW this fall.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the vampire drama will has cast a detective named Will Kinney, who is described as a "handsome lawman determined to bring wrongdoers to justice," reports TVLine. However, as a human, he will have no knowledge of the vampire underworld.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Veronica Mars" alum Jason Dohring has been cast in the recurring role and will make his debut in the Season 3 premiere on Oct. 8.

His character is good-natured and determined to bring the forces of evil to justice. He is also smart and confident and has a very strong sense of right and wrong. Throughout the season, he will gradually become more suspicious and aware of the supernatural activity going on in New Orleans.

Along with the addition of Det. Will Kinney, viewers can expect to see fan favorites like Klaus, Elijah and Cami plus two new vampires in Season 3.

According to TVLine, the drama series will introduce a vampire named Aurora, who is described as "sexy" and very unpredictable. Plus, this seductive vamp can become very deadly in a split second. There is also the possibility that she will grab Klaus' attention and become his new woman of the week while he continues to ignore his feelings for Cami.

Another vampire named Lucien will also make a debut on the show. Not only will he be "good-looking," but he also has a history with the Mikaelsons.

"The Originals'" executive producer Michael Narducci also recently told THR that the upcoming season will find explore the Original siblings' sire lines. As a result, a few of those key people the Mikaelson siblings turned will show up in the present.
