Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert must've really enjoyed his stay in Georgia as he purchased a new property in Atlanta.

Before signing with the Cavs, the basketball star, who played with Georgia Tech prior to being drafted in the NBA, bought a charming home in May for $427,000, according to Realtor.com. The estate might serve as a vacation home for the the Illinois-born athlete during off-season, added the realty site.

The property listing described the 6,901-square-foot home as an "elegant four side brick home with luxury features throughout and a full finished terrace level." It displays an enviable gourmet kitchen, equipped with several cabinets for storage, sleek granite countertops and an island for a more convenient set-up.

The 6-foot-5 tall guard will probably find delight in his cozy master bedroom, which has a double sided fireplace. Its ambiance is also enhanced and made more dramatic with trey ceilings and hardwood flooring accents. The spacious bedroom comes with a sitting area, a his and hers closet and a lavish bath equipped with a jetted tub.

The three-story residence also features a living room, a dining room, a family room with a fireplace, a terrace and a wet bar.

Staying with the Cavaliers

Shumpert, who was acquired by the Cavaliers in a three-team trade on Jan. 5, is set for another four years with the Cleveland team through a $40 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports announced in a tweet.

David Griffin confirmed the news on July 9 via a statement, published on NBA.com.

"Iman is a versatile, two-way player who embodies much of the grit, determination and defense-first mentality our group became identified by. He is evolving as a playmaker on both ends and his impact on our group was enormous throughout our Finals run," Griffin said.

While with the Cavaliers, Shumpert delivered an average of 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game, ESPN noted.
