The cast and producers of "Grimm" opened up about the show's Season 5 at Comic-Con in San Diego last weekend, revealing Juliette is indeed dead and teasers about Nick's transition into fatherhood.

As fans may recall, the Season 4 finale ended with a shocking cliffhanger after Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) killed Nick's girlfriend, Juliette, in order to save him. During the gripping scene, Nick was about to kill Juliette to avenge his mother's death. However, he was convicted by his love for Juliette and could not find the strength to kill her. That's when Trubel stepped in and fired two arrows into Juliette. After she was shot, Nick cradled his former lover in his arms and watched her die.

It was also revealed that Adalind was pregnant with Nick's child following their one-night encounter.

While speaking at Comic-Con on July 11, producers David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf confirmed that Bitsie Tulloch's character Juliette really is dead, and will only appear in flashbacks.

It was also revealed that the Season 5 premiere will pick up exactly where the finale left off. Plus, series star David Giuntoli unveiled to TVLine that an "immense new storyline" will kick off in the premiere and take the series in a completely different direction.

"There is a no-BS kind of reboot," Giuntoli added.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Giuntoli said, "We're kind of getting rid of the royals a little bit." Meanwhile, Nick will be focused on being a father.

"I have to raise a kid with my past arch nemesis, Adalind, which just, uhh, fine," said the actor.

On the other hand, he said, "Nick's out for revenge and he's trying to figure out who wronged him. His mother's head was chopped off, his girlfriend was killed. Bad things."

Not only is Juliette really dead, but the season premiere is likely to include her funeral, said the actor.

Federal Agent Chavez was introduced at the end of Season 4. The agent takes an unusual interest in Trubel, who is also a Grimm, although her intentions have yet to be revealed.

"This season there will be a storyline that begins when Chavez comes back and sets up a departure from the series that is new," said actor Silas Weir Mitchell, reports Collider. "This storyline may set the course for [Monroe] to revisit his traumatic memories. Some violent stuff will go down and my pacifist nature will be challenged."

Greenwalt also dropped spoilers, revealing, "We're gonna explain the damn keys! We still don't know what they do, but we're gonna explain it."

Claire Coffee, who plays Adalind, said that her character "lost her powers this season, again, she lost her job, again. She's a lawyer... she'll scour Craigslist or something."

In the meantime, Bree Turner said that her character, Rosalee, will continue to struggle with addiction, which in turn will affect her marriage.

"Her addictions come back to the story line, and that causes some major problems for the couple," Turner said. "She really struggles with her past skeletons."

Viewers can also look forward to new monsters like The Loch Ness Monster and gila monsters, reports TV Guide.
