Windows has finally taken the hint and made their tablets have a comparable price to the iPad Mini, thereby catching up with the industry standards.

According to Information Week, Microsoft slashed the price on the Dell, Lenovo, and Toshiba tablets that have Windows 8.1 as a platform. These deals won't last forever, though: if you want to get these deals, today is your last day to do it.

Many of the Microsoft tablets have the same features, according to TheWestSideStory.com: all of them feature a 1200x800 pixel screen, and an upgraded processor known as the Bay Trail (as opposed to earlier Windows models, which featured what was known as a Clover Trail chip, which was a lot slower than the current processor.

In addition, all of the Windows tablets come pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, as well as a USB port.

If, however, you're interested in a good camera that's comparable to the iPad camera, your best bet is the Encore, according to the same site: it boasts an 8MP camera.

"For those in the market for a slightly bigger device, Microsoft also has discounted the base model of Dell's Venue 11 Pro from $549 to $499. It has a 10.8-inch 1080p touchscreen, 2 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage. It runs on an Intel Atom processor, lasts up to 10 hours between charges, and comes with Microsoft Office preinstalled," reports Information Week.
