Possibly a first in film and TV history, Sam Raimi discussed his plans to merge both his original and the remake of the "Evil Dead" universes together.

According to Den of Geek, both have inherently entered into the same story, with Ash (Bruce Campbell) and Mia (Jane Levy) being the main characters of their two respective films. Ash was the lone survivor and hero of the first three original films, and Mia was the lone survivor and hero of the remake.

Even though it was a full-on remake of the original, Raimi will be merging the two films together, and Ash will be sharing screen time with Mia in either an episode of "Ash vs. Evil Dead" or another film adaptation.

One can only wonder how that will happen or how the two will coexist. Ash is a proud character who seems to be the total definition of "kick*ss." His character morphed into the comical angle in "Army of Darkness," but he still retained his valiant and heroic strides in the film.

Mia morphed into the heroine of the film and made horrific decisions about things she had to do to herself to survive, which were gruesome to say the least. But that lent credibility to her character to be classified as "tough as nails."

Raimi let the cat of the bag at Comic-Con this year in San Diego. The topic came up when he was asked if he would be making anymore "Evil Dead" movies.

"After working with Fede Alvarez, who did a terrific job on the 'Evil Dead' remake ... we loved that movie, and we [are] thinking we should do a team-up eventually of his great heroine and our hero for a joint 'Evil Dead' reality," Raimi said at SDCC 2015.
