When we usually think of Super Bowl commercials we often tend to think of the beer or car related advertisements. More often than not, however, the unique commercials are the ones that grab our attention. Check out the video below, courtesy of The Washington Post.

After the first half of the Super Bowl we saw a Heinz commercial where the unique sound effects become the attention-grabber. It ends up with a family around a table and shows a woman squirting out Heinz ketchup -- but it wasn't your average ketchup squirting event. When she squeezed the ketchup tube, it made a sound reminiscent of a person passing gas. Everyone then looked at her and the commercial went silent -- yet another way to grab the attention of the viewers.

Another interesting aspect to it was how they targeted younger viewers early on. The commercial started off with a "If you're happy and you know it" tune, which makes you think back to your younger days.

It seems that Heinz did a great job with the commercial considering the way they were able to focus on being unique. Far too many commercials follow the same patterns and we get used to seeing them time and time again.

They really better hope the commercial does well. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which is based in the same region as Heinz headquarters as well as Heinz Field, the commercial was estimated to cost about $4 million during the game. The publication also reported that this year marks the first time the ketchup company has advertised during the Super Bowl in more than a decade and a half, 16 years.

But, of course, there were more great commercials earlier in the game as well. Let us know which other commercials you enjoyed. Are there any you really disliked? Let us know in the comments section below!
