Miley Cyrus hopes that 2014 will bring a better Valentine's Day than the one she had last year.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer's Bangerz world tour kicks off on Valentine's Day this year and said, "Please dear God say it's better than my last Valentine's Day."

Admitting to the Associated Press she was in a bad mood, the singer recalled, "I told the doorman to go f**k himself on Valentine's Day last year because he told me 'Happy Valentine's Day'."

The 21-year old was still engaged to then fiancé Liam Hemsworth, known for his role in the Hunger Games series. The couple met in 2009 and engaged in June 2012. However, the relationship didn't last. Sources have reported that the couple are no longer on speaking terms.

Cyrus told People she wrote the song "Drive" on that day. "I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day - emotionally it was such a hard time," said Cyrus.

The breakup song is included in her Bangerz album. Miley describes what the song is about: "It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on."

According to Lollypop, the singer is single and looking forward to being on the road, to be "normal" and travel to new places. "It's hard because we get stuck on these 30-hour drives. It's weird when you're on tour, sometimes I get to feel like I'm a bit normal - I ride motorbikes sometimes. But I like travelling around on the open road and I like going out in different cities," explains Miley.

The tour is produced and promoted by Live Nation and will kick off on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2014) in Vancouver, BC at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena. The tour will visit 38 cities throughout the United States and Canada including New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Miami.
