'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers & Crossover Episode: 'Sleepy Hollow' Crossover Set, Peak into Premiere Episode
As weird as it may sound, TV viewers can expect to see a crossover episode between "Sleepy Hollow" and "Bones" in the upcoming season.
According to a TVLine report, Fox is planning to air a crossover between the two shows sometime during the next season. Although the crossover event was originally planned to occur sometime in the fall, it has since been postponed to take place later in the spring. Other details have yet to be revealed.
This news comes as a complete surprise since the shows have very little in common. "Bones," for example, is a crime procedural comedy-drama, whereas "Sleepy Hollow" is supernatural horror and action series. "Sleepy Hollow" also takes places in an entirely different universe that includes demons, evil spirits and a Headless Horseman.
Earlier this month, "Bones" writer and producer Michael Peterson unveiled on Twitter that the name of the Season 11 premiere episode is "The Revelation in the Remains."
It was also revealed that Peterson and executive producer John Collier have stepped up to run the show in wake of executive producer Stephen Nathan's departure, reports CarterMatt. Because Peterson and Collier have been working on the show for years, it's safe to assume that not much will change concerning its structure.
Fans can also expect the new season to begin months after the point where the finale left off.
"Picking up six months after the Season 10 finale, Brennan and Booth have moved on to a new town and new jobs, having given up their old life and settled into a blissful death-free existence. But a murder unlike any other draws them back to investigate with their former colleagues at the Jeffersonian and FBI," reads the synopsis, according to CarterMatt.
Nathan also told The Hollywood Reporter that "the mystery and the fun of Season 11 is how is this team going to reassemble. How is life going to go on? At what point do we pick them up?"
Season 11 of "Bones" will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
