'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Might Still Be Alive, Bran Stark Returns
Kit Harington was spotted on location while showrunners filmed Season 6 of "Game of Thrones." Is Jon Snow still alive?
In the Season 5 finale, Jon was last seen with a sword in his chest, Entertainment Weekly reports. In the final scene, Jon was betrayed by his angry Night's Watch brothers, Alliser (Owen Teale), Olly (Brenock O'Connor) and Bowen (Michael Condron), who all viciously stabbed him at once.
They had betrayed leaders before him, so it was no surprise that they would do the same to him. What was surprising was, after the screen flashed to Jon's face, fans did not get a chance to see if he either died or turned white in order to morph into Ghost.
Speculation is Jon Snow is not really dead, and loyal fans have certainly not accepted his demise. In the last shot, as he muttered "For The Watch," Jon's eyes started to turn purple, hinting he has Valyrian blood in him.
If he turns into one of the white walkers, who side would he be on? On the other hand, if he does have Valyrian blood, the Lord of Light priestess, Melisandre (Carice van Houten) may be able to bring him back to life.
Harington was spotted in the same location showrunners are filming Season 6. He is also still growing out his locks, the signature look for Jon, which is adding fuel to the rumors that his character remains alive.
Meanwhile, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is returning to Season 6, although fans already knew that, Den of Geek notes. Bran was last seen completing his quest to meet the Three-Eyed Raven.
"I can't say a lot, but I am back this season, and it's going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions," Hempstead Wright told the Irish Examiner.
"Game of Thrones" will return to HBO in April 2016 for Season 6.
