In a very revealing interview with the cast and producers of "The Walking Dead," some new details have emerged about Season 6 that were previously closely guarded over the past few months following the Season 5 finale, according to Blastr.

The online news site sat down with the cast and crew for the most revealing tell-all possible without ruining the new season. Interview participants included Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Lennie James, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira, Steve Yeun, Sonequa Martin-Green and Michael Cudlitz. Producers Scott Gimple, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Gale Anne Hurd were also in attendance.

The first thing you need to know about Season 6 is that Alexandria is not going to be another Woodbury. The takeover is more focused on survival without all of the naïve attempts to grab power. The world of "TWD" has evolved since Woodbury and the protagonists now know how to live in it with real people.

"Reinvention and acclimation, those are big prevailing themes of the season," Martin-Green told Blastr.

One might argue that in Woodbury, the Governor ruled with something like an iron fist, but he still played the politics necessary to keep his followers' faith. Rick could fill a similar role in Alexandria, but he hasn't quite gone of the deep end. At least not so much that he becomes quietly sociopathic with his actions.

The protagonists are also thrust into a community that is too sheltered to know how to survive a Walker hoard. Protecting them might cost them their own lives, so another theme played out will be the matter of survival versus sacrificing the innocent.

"The scope of the walkers (increases)," Hurd told Blastr. "One walker is fine, five they can handle, but hundreds of walkers are a threat. They are vulnerable, and when teamed up with people who have no ideas on how to defend themselves or survive when they are confronted with walkers, that threat is magnified when you have that many walkers. Unless you're Shane (who used the naive as bait), trying to protect other people who are not competent puts you in danger."
