‘Batman v Superman’ News: Young Robin May be Played by Zack Snyder’s Son Eli [Pic]
The first scenes from the "Batman v Superman" trailer revealed the Robin suit, with a message on it that said "Haha, Joke's on you Batman." That scene was very revealing for the movie, as it implies that the Joker has killed young Robin and Bruce Wayne is mourning him in the Batcave, as reported by Heroic Hollywood.
But the real question is: Who was playing the young Robin when all this took place? Although none of this has been officially confirmed yet, the rumor is that director Zack Snyder's son, Eli Snyder, was the one to don the Boy Wonder's suit. It is also unclear at this point whether this means the death will occur on the future release of "Suicide Squad."
So now that we have put the theory out there, let's take a look at the evidence that reinforces it.
According to Cinema Blend, Eli had also made an appearance in Synder's other comic book movie, "Watchmen." Although that earlier appearance was a minor role, Eli's possible spot in "Batman v Superman" may be similarly considered a minor role. Alternatively, Robin may be presumed dead, thought killed by the Joker, only to return. If so, the role of Robin could see another, older actor take over in the Cinematic Universe.
Photographer Clay Enos also Tweeted a picture of the two Snyders that was captioned with "Boy Wonder?"
Heroic Hollywood describes Snyder's son as a "hot shot quarterback" and, at six feet tall and weighing 174 pounds, he definitely has the build for a young hero. The boy is obviously in great shape and no doubt would fit the image necessary for the role.
Make no mistake, DC is expected to deliver some great cinema with its upcoming releases. They are also keeping certain details closely guarded, so fans cannot reasonably expect them to release the details just yet.
