One Direction once again proves to the world that they are the strongest, most successful band out there, as their upcoming tour is expected to earn quite a massive profit.

The 88-date Where We Are world tour will undoubtedly feature all five members -- Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan -- and become the first to perform three consecutive nights at the 95,000-seat Rose Bowl stadium in California. Furthermore, it is estimated that the British boyband will certainly earn a record $1 billion during their highly anticipated trek.

"It would be amazing for 1D to climb to the very top of the tour league so early in their career," said the band's spokesman. "That would be a phenomenal testament to the loyalty and support of their fans."

Music industry insider Mory Brenner added, "You have to go back to 1964 when The Beatles led the British invasion that turned America's music industry upside down, to find anything close to the following they have."

One Direction was also the most popular artist last year in terms of music downloads, streaming and record sales. The IFPI, which promotes the international recording industry, named the band Global Recording Artists of 2013 after they were the first group to debut at number one on the U.S. charts with their first three albums.

"Incredible news. It's great to have a chart that includes everything from iTunes and record stores, to YouTube and Spotify," said Niall Horan. "Again a huge thank you to all of our fans for such an amazing 2013."
