In what appears to be another media exposure rhetoric moment by the ever-flogging Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate has revealed to the world that Jon Stewart has been begging him to appear on his last show. This was reported by The Hill in an interview with Mr. Trump.

In the interview, Trump boasted with pride and ego as he lamented that "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart desperately wants him to appear on his last show. This would be the paramount show for Stewart, given his last day will likely be a deeply regrettable moment for his fans.

"They have invited me," Trump told The Hill. "I like Jon Stewart - I think he's good. They're begging me to go on."

This seems like highly sensational rhetoric coming from a man that has been, for nearly a month now, the single greatest source of Stewart's comical jabs. The comedian has shamelessly mocked the presidential hopeful for his campaign boosting antics and anti-immigrant speeches.

"I would do it ... the problem is it looks like pandering. It looks so false and so phony if I do it," Trump said in the interview.

But it's hard to know what Trump meant by "pandering," considering that his words have spoken for themselves and he has not been targeting the left-leaning audience that frequently watches the show. One might suspect that Trump is afraid that Stewart might say something during the show that could endanger his political campaign.

Trump even went as far to say that President Barack Obama's seventh and final appearance on the show was okay, but he did get a nasty political jab in at the end.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with President Obama having done it," Trump said. "I know he took a lot of heat, you know, because they said, 'What are you doing on a comedy show?' I think it's okay."

But he quickly added that "it would've been better if he had Stewart come over to the White House, because it would've cost nothing."

Stewart is slated to leave the show next month on Aug. 6. Trump won't even be treading the waters yet for the primaries come that time.
