Spelman College has severed its longtime relationship with Bill Cosby in the wake of swirling sexual assault accusations hurled against the famed comedian.

According to TMZ, one of the most prestigious black colleges across the land will no longer recognize The William and Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby Endowed Professorship and all remaining funds from it will be returned.

In the past, the 77-year-old Cosby has been a huge supporter of the women's college. Spelman has acknowledged his contributions by frequently honoring him at various events over the years.

Over the last several months, dozens and dozens of women have stepped forward with allegations that they were drugged and sexually assaulted by Cosby.

Cosby has denied all allegations. While no criminal charges have ever been filed against him, statements Cosby gave in a deposition more than 10 years ago in a civil suit have recently been released, raising serious doubts in the minds of many about his innocence.

During the deposition and while under oath, Cosby admitted to routinely giving Quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with. More recently, a California Supreme Court ruled Cosby must submit to an interrogation by famed attorney Gloria Allred in yet another civil suit filed against him by Judy Huth.

A former Playboy bunny, Huth claims she was sexually assaulted by Cosby at the Playboy Mansion more than 40 years ago when she was just 15-years-old. Recently, Allred told TMZ she not only plans to grill Cosby about her own client, but all the women who have lodged similar allegations against him.

Allred added she hopes to kick off the proceedings over the next 30 days or so.
