Superstar Kanye West Peforms At Pan Am Games Closing Ceremony, Throws Dead Mic
Kanye West performed at the closing ceremony of the Pan Am Games. It didn't go so well in the very end.
According to SB Nation, West was performing one of his hit songs "Good Life" when his microphone went dead. Spectators looked on confused as West was dancing by himself for a minute before throwing the microphone in the air and leaving the stage.
Mr. West was facing technical difficulties. According to Independent, the people who were watching the performance on TV had no problem hearing it but for those who were there live, they couldn't hear anything.
West caused a bit of controversy when the Pan Am Games announced that he would be performing at the closing ceremonies in Toronto. West, who is not Canadian, was met with harsh criticisms by Canadians. There was a petition out banning Kanye West from performing at the closing ceremonies but didn't get enough signatures.

Other than that, West was in the news for good reasons. During the series premiere of "I Am Cait" last night, West had the perfect response when he first met Caitlyn Jenner.
According to Business Insider, West praised Jenner for the transition stating it was "one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings that are controlled by perception."
He also went on to say "You couldn't have been up against more. Like, your daughter is a supermodel, you're a celebrity, you have every type of thing, and it was still like, 'f--k everybody, this is who I am."
