Dell and HP Offer Free Overnight Shipping of Windows 10 Laptops
Dell and HP are both offering laptops with Windows 10 pre-installed, and if ordered by Tuesday evening, they will arrive to customers' homes Wednesday with no shipping charges, Tech Radar reports.
Wednesday is the first day Windows 10 will be available to the public. However, many customers will not be able to receive it right away because Microsoft is releasing the new operating system in a tier-based system. The first to receive Windows 10 will be those who tested out the new Windows 10 operating system's preview version as part of the Windows Insider Program, followed by those who reserved their free upgrade.
Dell is offering select laptops and desktops with Windows 10 preloaded. Customers have until 6 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday to place an order for one of these units to guarantee Wednesday arrival. Dell will sell the Inspiron 14 3000 (non-touch), Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 and the Inspiron 15 5000 touch and non-touch laptops with Windows 10. These devices can be ordered from Dell's website and will arrive Wednesday with free shipping.
HP will also offer select laptops and desktops for overnight delivery, according to Tech Radar. These units will have Windows 10 pre-installed in them. To receive these units by Wednesday, customers will have to complete their order on HP's website by 8 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday. HP will sell the HP Envy x360, the HP Spectre x360 and 15-inch notebooks with Windows 10 for overnight delivery. Two versions of the HP Pavilion Desktop and the 22-inch HP All-in-One desktop will be available for Wednesday delivery with Windows 10 included.
Other HP laptops produced by the end of August will also come preloaded with Windows 10, but this deal from HP is currently the fastest way to get a brand new computer preloaded with Windows 10.
