Alexandra Daddario, star of the "Percy Jackson" films opposite Logan Lerman, will play the lead female role in Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's upcoming 3D action flick, "San Andreas," Deadline reports.

But just to make everything clear, this movie has nothing to do with the popular videogame "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas." But it does take place in the same area.

Daddario will be playing the daughter of The Rock in the film. The movie will revolve around Johnson, who will be playing a helicopter pilot flying around California in search of his daughter. Since watching the professional wrestler fly a chopper seems rather boring, the bulk of the action in the film will be brought on by a massive earthquake hitting California, presumably triggered by the San Andreas Fault, hence, the movie's title.

Somehow, it comes as to no surprise that the 27-year-old actress was cast for the role in a disaster movie. After all, Daddario had proven herself as a rough-and-tumble actress through her previous roles that involved constant running, jumping, rolling, and battling all sorts of creatures.

Aside from playing a demigod in the "Percy Jackson" films, she also took on the lead role in the 2013 "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D." As viewers, we all know how stressful it can get when watching people try to run away from Leatherface.

And who could forget her daring nude scene in the television series "True Detective?" Although that has nothing to do with her credentials for being in a disaster flick, it does show that this actress has guts.

Cinemablend reports "San Andreas" will be directed by Brad Peyton, popularly known for directing "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," which also stars Johnson. The movie is currently in pre-production, but New Line Cinema is hoping that it will be its big summer flick with a release date for June 5, 2015.
