'Grimm' Season 5 Spoilers: Cast Says New Season to Include Elements From Season 1 [Video]
The stars of NBC's "Grimm" opened up about what fans can expect to see in Season 5, which will include new plots along with elements from the first season.
As fans may recall, the Season 4 finale ended with a shocking cliffhanger after Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) killed Nick's girlfriend, Juliette, in order to save him. During the gripping scene, Nick was about to kill Juliette to avenge his mother's death. However, he was convicted by his love for Juliette and could not find the strength to kill her. That's when Trubel stepped in and fired two arrows into Juliette. After she was shot, Nick cradled his former lover in his arms and watched her die. It was also revealed that Adalind was pregnant with Nick's child.
While speaking at Comic-Con in San Diego earlier this month, the cast of the suspense thriller talked about the direction the show, which will revisit certain components from its debut season.
Sasha Roiz told AOL that his character, Captain Sean Renard, will head "back to that Season 1 feel of like there's something in the air." He added that his character will feel and be part of a "sense of danger."
"Maybe it's time to get kind of get back to Season 1 where people had their own agendas, and often times that meant that we will come into conflict with one another," said Roiz.
Actor Reggie Lee, who plays Sergeant Wu, hinted that fans can expect "a hefty, emotional season." He went on to say that "for Nick, it's going to be tough. We're going to have to pull him up and help him out, and I'm glad to be part of that team for once."
Likewise, series star Bree Turner teased that "the keys, which have been shelved in the storyline, are a big part of this next coming up season."
She went on to say that "There's a whole new storyline [and] new world about to happen, but then we also revisit Season 1 stuff, so I think the fans will be blown away, but also satisfied."
Season 5 of "Grimm" will premiere on NBC on Oct. 30.
