Google Glass 2.0 is being tested, and it may already be inside some offices and hospitals. According to Tech Radar, the next version of Google Glass is going to be focused on being used in business situations.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the newest version of the smart glasses from Google is already inside select offices, hospitals and other buildings. Surgeons and field workers are already testing out the newest Google Glass.

The report from the Wall Street Journal says that this test version of the Google Glass 2.0 is a clip-on that will attach to a traditional pair of glasses.

Google Glass 2.0 is being redesigned as a work tool. It should be more widely accepted in the workplace when worn than on the streets or in public, due to privacy concerns.

The "Enterprise Edition" of Google Glass 2.0 might not be the only set of smart glasses though. The Wall Street Journal's "people familiar with the matter" say that Google plans to also release a consumer edition of the updated Google Glass.

The report from the Wall Street Journal duplicates an older story from 9to5Google. In that story, 9to5Google said that they are very confident that the next Google Glass will have a better Intel processor, perhaps the Intel Atom and a longer battery life. The battery life could be extended by a magnetic external battery pack.

It would make sense that Google would speed up the processor and extend the battery life. Based on complaints from the last Google Glass, these were two areas of concern and thanks to improvements in technology, it is very possible to improve these two areas in the next Google Glass.

The look of the Google Glass 2.0 will also likely change with a lighter and thinner display. It will also be able to prevent scratches and have some waterproofing.
