Fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" have been anxious to see what the new companion series, "Fear the Walking Dead," is going to look like.

It is no secret at this point that it is about a world falling apart, and AMC just released a new teaser that shows how it happens, according to Collider.

The zombie apocalypse, or the more correct term would be the "Walker" apocalypse, will be something that is new and foreign to this society. It is something unknown to the population and creator Robert Kirkman had envisioned this happening in a world that never knew what the term "zombie" was. It's a world where pop culture had never seen the phenomenon play out in fiction.

So in this fictional world, the people do not know what they are facing and what they can do to protect themselves. That is what this new trailer is about.

It is titled "Lights Out" and shows the amazing landscape of Los Angeles over the hours of a day and a night, slowly descending into chaos. It shows the new reality for the population that slowly crept into utter ruin overnight.

The trailer is an illuminating piece, which at the beginning shows the thriving California city in normal functioning order. It -- civilization, that is -- then starts to slowly wash away. The teaser did not show any specific people or attacks, but rather a wide shot of the city as it descends into night. It is lit with majestic wonder. But then, buildings start going dark; one at a time until the entire city has lost their power grid.

The only thing viewers could see after that are the raging fires. That is when the next day came and the chaos of the night is more clearly visible.
