The WWE was live from Sacramento, California, for its "SmackDown" taping, and it was a show that lacked "star" power even for the "B Show."

Thursday's broadcast opened with Roman Reigns to deliver a promo. He spoke about his feud against Bray Wyatt, which resulted in an interruption. Rusev appeared and promoted his main-event match against Reigns. Dean Ambrose or The Wyatt Family were nowhere in the start of the promo.

The first match of the night was six-man tag-team match. Mark Henry teamed with WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players to defeat The New Day's Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Henry provided his team with the victory.

Tag team competition continued but with the divas division. It was Team B.A.D.'s Naomi and NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks against Submission Sorority's Becky Lynch and Charlotte. The match originally started as a one-on-one divas bout between Charlotte and Naomi, but interference would evolve it into a tag match. Banks and Naomi would then defeat Charlotte and Lynch.

Stardust defeated Zack Ryder. Stardust is currently in a feud against Neville as the WWE is pushing the "superhero vs. villain" gimmick ahead of "SummerSlam." Stardust's match comes ahead of "Arrow's" Stephen Amell appearing on the next "Monday Night Raw."

It was main event time with Reigns and Rusev. Reigns received the victory, and once again, no appearances from Ambrose, The Wyatt Family or WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The "SmackDown" broadcast did confirm another match for "SummerSlam," as Reigns and Ambrose will team up against Wyatt and Luke Harper. With the addition of the tag match, the Aug. 23 show has two matches -- the other being Brock Lesnar against The Undertaker.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursday at 8 p.m. on SyFy.
