‘Deadpool’ Releases Full-Length Redband Trailer [Watch]
The raunchy, foul-mouthed and high-quality redband trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel film "Deadpool" has finally been released following a trailer leak from SDCC 2015 this year in July. According to CNN, the trailer lives up to its original hype.
What really stands out for the Marvel "antihero" is that he is just full of comical one-liners that push the boundaries and even lands the character himself into several precocious situations that lead to danger, action and violence.
The trailer shows some details as to how Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) became the famed superhero after being a normal person -- who is dying of cancer that afflicted several portions of his body.
The beginning of the trailer starts out with the sappy emotional elements of the film's rising action. In a few emotional exchanges with his love interest, the couple discusses the cancer he has.
But he quickly morphs it into comedy in classic Ryan Reynolds fashion when he points out "the cancer is only in my liver, lungs, prostate and brain ... all things I can live without."
Wilson had been a trained Special Forces operative before he became debilitated by cancer, forcing him to seek out an unconventional treatment that not only extended his life, but monstrously scarred his face and turned him into the amazing Deadpool.
Before he is whisked away on a gurney to the operating room, he even pokes fun at his other film, "Green Lantern," and told the surgeons just to make sure that his uniform is "not green... or animated."
This of course leads to his rise as the famed superhero, and now his hunt for the man that destroyed his life. Heavy sequences of action and violence were prevalent in the trailer and segued perfectly into the comedy.
Check out the trailer below and see what all the hype is about for the film.
