‘Battlefield Hardline’ DLC Gameplay Update: Squad Heist, New Weapons & Gadgets, Expansive Maps Coming in 'Robbery' Expansion
The developers at Visceral Games in collaboration with EA DICE and Electronic Arts have teased new details on the second expansion pack for "Battlefield Hardline".
Battlefield Hardline's upcoming DLC expansion, aptly named "Robbery," will be available to the public next month. However, the game's premium members will have access to it two weeks in advance.
Fans can expect these following additions in Roberry as revealed on the official website of Battlefield.
- Four expansive maps: The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7
- Squad Heist: a new 5v5 game mode
- 4 new weapons
- 2 new gadgets
- 2 new factional vehicles and new vehicle upgrades
- New camos and vehicle paints
- The Legendary Super Feature
The new DLC will highlight the robbery aspect of the game via the "Squad Heist" mode. Robbers must do their best to evade with their loot. This would not be that easy as criminals are only given 25 deploy tickets. Their communication and cooperation will be the key in foiling a band of noble policemen trying to take them all down.
If robbers drain all their deploy tickets, the policemen wins the match. This is reminiscent of the game's pre-existing Heist mode.
"Squad Heist" has three distinct stages:
- Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 1, and grab the Loot from the vault.
- Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 2, and grab the Loot from the vault.
- Criminals run to an escape location, call a helicopter, and get the loot to safety.
"Whether it's boosting jewels, double-crossing an international smuggling ring, or extracting a high-value piece of intel from a precinct locker room, teams on both sides of the law will have to pull together to make (or break) these epic heists," Battlefield Hardline's official website stated.
The third expansion pack in the Battlefield Hardline series is "Getaway". It will feature high-speed chases that deepens the heist experience. Meanwhile, the fourth expansion called "Betrayal" will have a darker tone as players have to find out the snitch that rats out the team's operations.
"Getaway" will be available this fall while "Betrayal" will follow in early 2016.
For the meantime, "Battlefield Hardline: Robbery" is set to release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in September 2015 for Premium members.
As previously stated by EA, premium members will also have the following perks:
- 12 Gold Battlepacks
- New personalization options including gun camos, ammo skins, and more Battlefield Hardline Premium exclusive in-game items
- Access to double-XP, in-game missions, and more Battlefield Hardline Premium exclusive events
- Priority position in server queues
