Terrell Owens is facing foreclosure proceedings on his San Fernando Valley mansion and is desperately trying to sell off the property before a bank takes legal possession of it.

TMZ reports the former NFL star is already in default on the 4,250 sq. ft. property on which he still owes $905,417.06. The 41-year-old Owens and his estranged wife, Rachel Snider, purchased the home some 18-months ago for $2.2 million.

Less than six months later, the two were headed for splitsville, and the property was on the market for a little more than what the couple purchased it for. Owens now claims he stopped making payments on the home because he was selling, and the bank gave him an extension to give him time to get a deal done.

Earlier this year, it was also reported that Owens owes the IRS more than $100,000 in unpaid back taxes. According to official documents filed with the LA County Recorder's Office, Owens is liable for $107,297.60. In all, Owens has now been hit with at least four different tax liens.

A recent contestant on a season of the "Celebrity Apprentice," Owens has admitted one of the primary reasons he signed on to do the show was the hope he could learn money management from Donald Trump.

In all, Owens played 15 NFL seasons, amassing 1,078 catches for 15,945 yards and 153 touchdowns. His best season came with the San Francisco 49ers in 2002 when he recorded 100 catches for 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Owens played for five different teams, his longest two stints being with the Niners (eight seasons) and the rival Dallas Cowboys (three). Over his career, he inked several multimillion dollar deals, including a seven-year, $49 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004.
