When it comes to Grand Theft Auto V PC, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have apparently taken the "mum's the word" approach. Last week, however, a Take-Two Interactive executive admitted that PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are likely, and Amazon explained its international listings.

According to Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive CEO, the company is interested in releasing Grand Theft Auto V on devices that its customers own presently or will own in the future.

"If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we'll release our game on that], but we wouldn't drive them there," Strauss said in an interview with MCV. "We would just be there if they are there."

Right now, consumers are waiting for the video game to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC, especially. Zelnick said that his company's approach to NBA 2K is a good indicator of where Grand Theft Auto V will head next.

"That is why we have a companion app for our basketball title, NBA 2K Everywhere," he explained. "It is wherever consumers want to be. We are not in the hardware business. We don't have any dog in that hut. We just want to be where the consumer is."

According to MCV, Zelnick's failure to make an official announcement is not a surprise as the company typically leaves such things to "individual labels."

For the past few weeks, PC gamers have found hope in Amazon, whose Germany store has a listing for Grand Theft Auto V PC, and whose French site used to have the same. The listings have driven consumers to the site, leaving some wondering if listing a game that has yet to be announced was a publicity stunt.

"I can categorically tell you that not one time has it ever been intentional," Ketu Patel, Amazon UK Category Leader of Video-Game and Software, told Edge. "We conform to publisher requirements. We strive to make sure we don't break street date. We make sure we abide by embargo rules ... yes, you do get the odd issue but that's purely accidental."

Amazon Germany lists Grand Theft Auto V PC as compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista but does not list minimum system requirements. The game is priced at 60 euros.

"It's big exposure," Patel continued. "...if you make a mistake then it gets picked up everywhere, and it blows up into a huge issue. We need to make sure that we have more and more controls to make sure these things don't happen. We 100 percent never do it intentionally."

Czech retailer SuperGamer recently added Grand Theft Auto V for PC, PS4 and Xbox One to its website. It claims the games will be available starting June 13. Fans say the rumor has at least some credibility as Jun. 13 is a Friday, and game releases tend to occur this day.
