The New York City Department of Health has hit Justin Timberlake's upscale BBQ eatery with several "critical" violations after finding evidence of mice during a recent routine inspection.

RadarOnline reports Timberlake's Southern Hospitality restaurant was recently found to have several violations, among them "evidence of mice or live mice present in the facility's food and/or non-food area."

In their official report, the website added inspectors noted the restaurant suffered from "harborage or conditions conducive to attractive vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist."

Inspectors also alleged that the "food contact surface" was "not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred."

Both of the violations were marked in red throughout the report and deemed as "critical." Overall, the eatery received a "grade pending" mark. NYC facilities are graded from A to C, but each establishment is given two chances to score a grade of A.

Popular as Southern Hospitality has become among tourists and native New Yorkers alike, this is not the first time the restaurant has known such controversy. Back in 2013, the restaurant received an inspection grade of B after yet another check of the establishment went awry.

The very next year, a former female employee filed a sexual harassment suit against the eatery, alleging that she was "bullied" and "degraded" by male colleagues, including the owner -- and Timberlake's buddy -- Eytan Sugarman. The suit was eventually settled out of court.

The 34-year-old Timberlake is listed as the establishment's "co-creator" and "creative consultant" on the company website. He opened the Memphis-inspired restaurant for business in 2007 with the aid of Sugarman and childhood friend Trace Ayala.

According to Gawker, the midtown based restaurant remains open for business.
