'Sense8' Season 2 Confirmed? New Episodes To Air in March 2016?
Fans of hit show "Sense8" can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the Netflick sci-fi drama has finally been renewed for a second season.
The brainchild of Andy and Lana Wachowski ("The Matrix" trilogy) with writer and executive producer Michael Straczynski ("Thor," "World War Z"), "Sense8" tells the story of eight strangers scattered all around the globe, from Korea to San Francisco.
The official announcement for the second season came from the "Sense8" Twitter account.

"Sense8" features an impressive international cast including Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Freema Agyeman, Aml Ameen, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Daryl Hannah, Max Riemelt, Miguel ángel Silvestre and Naveen Andrews.
Despite the compelling storyline, up-and-coming stars and a growing fanbase, the threat of cancellation was present due to the ambitious show's slow start with critics and audiences. A report from NPR also touched on other reasons for the renewal's delay including the expensive costs of production in multiple countries and Netflix waiting to build a larger fanbase before committing to another season.
But it seems Straczynski already had a feeling that "Sense8" will be renewed.
While the online streaming platform deliberated over the fate of "Sense8," he talked to Collider in May and discussed the creators' existing five-year plan for the series.
"We have a rough structure for five years," Straczynski said. "Should Netflix decide to do it, we already have the second season worked out in great detail. And then, we have rough notes for the next three years, beyond that. I need to know where I'm going. I always write toward the ending, so I need to know where it's going."
The hope of seeing this five-year plan materialize remains alive as Netflix orders a second season. Fans will now be able to see how things turn out for the sensates after the thrilling season one finale. Although there's no official word on the release date yet, a report from Empire said that the show will likely hit Netflix in March 2016, if the same release pattern will be followed.
